Combi Boilers - Do your products work with a combi boiler?
Yes most combi boilers will provide at least 2-bar of water pressure, which is perfectly adequate for the job.
However please our technical team if you wish to be informed of a simple test which will confirm the flow rate.
The larger showers with over 12 bodyjets work best with a pressure of around 3 bar
Concealed Shower Valve – Here all the plumbing is hidden behind a stud wall to create
a streamline look.
Condensation in the shower - What effect will the steam have on the surrounding area?
Very little, our products can either be ventilated outside or you can simply turn on the shower to condense the steam. If a Venting fan is not already in the room then a large opening window usually suffices.

All our steam rooms are fitted with either a 2.8 or 3.6 KW steam generator. With the lights and radio you will require a 3 or 3.6 KW rated supply to run the unit (13 or 16 amp). In the case of steam rooms with a massage baths these also have a separate connection for the massage pump on the bath, which draws 0.9 KW.

Installation time on average is one working day, for someone of limited experiance with these models, however a pair of experianced installers can do it within 3 hours, no floor removal or tiling is required, which greatly reduces installation time and costs.

It is not difficult to assemble these units although we do strongly recommend that you employ a professional tradesman. However it is essential that all connections to the mains should only be carried out by a qualified electrician.

R
RCD - Residual current device - The electrical safety cut-out fitted in line on the mains lead to all our shower steam cabins.
Rainshower - the term often used to discribe a large diameter shower head (over 20cm) that spreads the water over a wide area to feel like rain - shortly to be renamed the British summer shower head!
S
Showerbath – a shaped
bath that is built specifically for containing a shower at
one end.
Shower Enclosures – are the framework in which you take a shower i.e.
a shower tray and door, or a shower tray and door with inline
and/or side panels.
Shower Handset – Shower Head detachable from the rail and can be directed
to the body by hand.
Shower Panel – consists of bodyjets and multiple showerheads which
can be used over a bath or within a shower enclosure
Shower Pumps - provide the necessary boost to solve your problems of poor
shower performance and can be used with any good quality mixer
shower or shower panel.
Shower Tray - The base of the unit that holds the Shower Enclosure, with
waste for disposal of used water.
Steam - How does the steam system work? There is a steam generator located on the rear of the cabin which is best discribed as functions in a similar fashion to a household kettle.
This makes it very low tech and therefore reliable, it is controlled for tempreture by a cabin based tempreture sensor and has a safty cut out.
Silicon - Do they need silicon sealant?
We find it is best to add clear silicon into the joins during the assembly phase, and done correctly, it is out of sight, but then the cabin is 100% waterproof.
T
Thermostatic
valve – temperature is regulated with this valve
so that it remains constant during the shower.
Thundercloud head - the term often used to discribe a large diameter shower head (over 20cm) that spreads the water over a wide area to feel like rain but with large diameter holes to feel like a thunderstorm effect - can sometimes require large flow rates to make it run effectively.
Telephone - most of our showers have an integrated telephone, which sounds unnessercary but proves to be a real asset

Venturi Shower – provides optimum performance without the use of pumps
or electrical connections. It uses mains cold water and pulls
hot water from your cylinder through the suction effect of
the venture nozzle.
W
Weight? How much do they weigh- it varies between models but 14Kgs to 220Kgs approximatly.
They arrive flat packed, usually in 4 boxes and with two people can be carried indoors
Wet
Rooms - a fully tiled walk in shower room
Warrenty - we provide 7 day a week support and 12 month warranty
Walls behind the shower - Do I need to tile or prepare the wall behind the unit?
No the steam rooms are backed by either acrylic or frosted glass that conceals the wall behind.
Water softener - A water softener is not essential but is disirable, as it would prevent lime scale forming in theshower and water jets in hard water areas.
Water system -How does the water system work?
the cabins water is supplied by two flexible hoses (about 1.2mtr long) which connects to your existing water system. This sends water to the cabins mixer, and then onto the overhead shower, Bodyjets or handshower.
These cabins do not have anyway of increasing water pressure, so the pressure you put into them is what you get out of them, which makes them great for Combi systems as you usually cannot put a pump on a combi boiler fed system.
